About Workhall
Workhall is a bootstrapped low-code / no-code enterprise workflow platform. We help large organisations model complex operations as configurable data structures, workflows, and reports, without the cost and drag of bespoke custom development. Today we serve 20+ enterprise customers across India, Australia, and the Americas, in industries ranging from manufacturing, food and beverage, construction, trade, and private capital.
About the role
You will be the technical backbone that turns the Workhall platform into a working enterprise application. Sitting inside the customer success team, you own requirements gathering, solution design, solve the hard data-modelling and integration problems that complex customers bring, and act as the deep technical reference point for our implementation partners.
This is a senior, hands-on solutioning role for someone who is equally comfortable whiteboarding an architecture and configuring the platform themselves. You are not just advising from the sidelines. You design, you build, and you set the standard others follow.
This is not a support/troubleshooting role and not a pre-sales/solutions-advisory role. You will be the one designing, configuring, and shipping the application end to end — not resolving tickets, running demos, or scoping something for someone else to build.
What you will do
Solution design and architecture
- Own end-to-end solution design on the platform: datalists, workflows, roles and permissions, reports, and the expression logic that ties them together.
- Translate ambiguous enterprise requirements into robust, scalable, maintainable configurations rather than one-off hacks.
- Make and defend data-modelling decisions, including denormalization and relationship patterns, with an eye on performance and long-term maintainability on a document-database platform.
Build and delivery
- Configure and build complex applications.
- Design and implement integrations between Workhall and external enterprise systems.
- Own the hardest technical parts of an implementation, and unblock delivery teams when they hit the limits of the platform or the data model.
Customer and stakeholder engagement
- Run technical discovery workshops with enterprise customers, shape the application, and communicate trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor through an implementation, from design through go-live and stabilisation — while remaining the one hands-on-keyboard building the solution, not scoping it for someone else.
Partner enablement and quality
- Enable, review, and raise the quality bar for implementation partners so delivery stays consistent as we scale.
- Define reusable patterns, templates, and technical standards that the wider delivery ecosystem can adopt.
What we are looking for
- Experience. 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience building or configuring enterprise applications on a low-code / no-code, BPM, or workflow automation platform — not supporting, demoing, or selling one. You should have owned the build of at least one non-trivial application from requirements through go-live.
- Data modelling. Strong data-modelling instincts and comfort with document or NoSQL databases; MongoDB experience is a transparent advantage.
You should be able to describe a specific data model you designed from scratch and the trade-offs you made — not just fields you configured into an existing model.
- Platform depth. Ability to reason about workflow logic, conditional expressions, and integrations from first principles, not just by copying prior examples.
- Integration experience. Hands-on experience designing or building at least one integration between a platform and an external system (API, middleware, or scripted).
- Communication. Customer-facing maturity: you can run a workshop, defend a design decision, manage expectations, and say no well — as the person who will then go build what was agreed, not hand it off.
- Ownership. A track record of owning the technically hardest part of a project and getting it live.
This role is not a fit if
- Your primary experience is ticket resolution, troubleshooting, or L1/L2 technical support rather than building or configuring applications.
- Your primary experience is running demos, writing proposals, or scoping solutions in a pre-sales capacity, without having built and shipped the resulting application yourself.
- You have not personally owned a data model or configuration end-to-end on a low-code/no-code or similar platform.
Nice to have
- Experience enabling a partner or delivery ecosystem, or leading a small technical team.
- Familiarity with API design, scripting, or integration middleware.
Why join us
- Ownership. Real ownership. We are a lean, bootstrapped team, so your work ships and your judgement counts from week one.
- Depth. Hard, interesting problems. Modelling messy enterprise operations into clean, reusable software is genuinely difficult and genuinely rewarding.
- Range. Breadth of exposure. You will work across regulated industries and global markets, not a single narrow use case.
- Leverage. A platform with leverage. What you build once serves many customers and many verticals.
