Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer at Synapmed, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services and platforms that power AI-enhanced clinical, regulatory, and safety solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, clinical experts, and product managers, to translate business and scientific requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant software systems.





Daily responsibilities include writing high-quality, testable code, performing code reviews, improving system architecture, and optimizing performance and reliability in a cloud-based environment. You will contribute to technical design decisions, mentor other engineers, and help implement best practices in software engineering, security, and data privacy. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, collaboration across time zones, and ownership of deliverables from concept through deployment and support.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, building APIs, microservices, and integrating with databases and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns, with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations in regulated environments; familiarity with healthcare or life sciences domains is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team, with strong written and verbal communication
