Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)- WMC

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SDET to lead quality engineering initiatives across our product ecosystem. This role will be responsible for defining and driving the overall quality strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring effective risk-based testing, validating non-functional requirements, and assessing release readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring solid technical expertise in automation, quality processes, and test architecture while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive the end-to-end quality engineering strategy for products and platforms.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.

Establish quality gates and testing best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Define and execute risk-based testing approaches to maximize test effectiveness and coverage.

Lead functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing initiatives.

Drive non-functional testing efforts, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security validation.

Collaborate with development teams to identify quality risks early and implement preventive measures.

Assess release readiness and provide quality sign-off recommendations.

Monitor defect trends, quality metrics, and testing effectiveness to continuously improve delivery quality.

Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to building a strong quality engineering culture.

Partner with Product, Engineering,



and DevOps teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration and automated quality checks.

Required Qualifications

5-6 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.

Strong hands-on experience in automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, Appium, or equivalent.

Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality processes.

Experience in performance and load testing using industry-standard tools.

Familiarity with cloud-based environments and microservices architecture.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in fintech, wealth management, banking, or highly regulated environments.

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience implementing quality practices in Agile and DevOps environments.

Certifications in software testing or quality engineering are a plus.
