Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Datasphere & Azure Fabric Architect/Engineer to support a critical Finance / Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) AI Acceleration project.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure, with a solid functional understanding of Finance processes, particularly Invoice-to-Pay (I2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable, Procurement, and financial data.

The resource will be responsible for designing and implementing an integration architecture to bring SAP data through SAP Datasphere into Microsoft Fabric, which will serve as the Operational Data Store (ODS) for downstream analytics and AI applications.

The candidate should be able to quickly understand the existing architecture, identify data and integration requirements, and independently drive the solution from architecture through hands-on engineering and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement SAP Datasphere-based data architecture and integration solutions for Finance and I2P use cases.




- Build integration between SAP Datasphere and Microsoft Fabric to support SAP data streaming and downstream analytics/AI workloads.
- Design and implement data pipelines, data models, replication, and integration patterns across SAP, Datasphere, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Provide hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere modeling, data integration, semantic modeling, and data engineering.
- Work with SAP BTP services and capabilities to develop scalable enterprise data solutions.
- Design solutions for integrating SAP data with Microsoft Azure and Fabric environments.
- Collaborate with Azure and AI teams to enable AI-powered Finance applications and data solutions.
- Understand and translate Finance business requirements into scalable technical/data architecture.
- Work closely with functional and technical stakeholders to understand Invoice-to-Pay / Procure-to-Pay business processes and associated data requirements.
- Identify appropriate SAP source systems, data objects, extraction methods, and integration mechanisms for Datasphere.
- Develop and optimize data models in Datasphere and Fabric for operational and analytical use cases.
- Establish appropriate data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and streaming patterns.
- Troubleshoot data integration, performance, connectivity, and data quality issues across SAP, Datasphere, Azure, and Fabric.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Quickly assess existing solutions and recommend improvements to accelerate project implementation.
- Support end-to-end implementation from solution architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Technical Skills SAP Datasphere - Mandatory

- Solid hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere.
- Expertise in Datasphere Data Builder, Business Builder, Spaces, Views, Data Models, and Data Flows.
- Experience with SAP data integration, replication, and data ingestion.




- Strong understanding of SAP Datasphere architecture and implementation patterns.
- Experience integrating SAP data with external cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SAP data models and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience with SAP BTP and related integration capabilities.

Microsoft Fabric / Azure - Mandatory

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and related Fabric components.
- Experience designing SAP-to-Fabric data integration solutions.
- Strong understanding of Azure data platform architecture.
- Experience with Azure data integration and data engineering services.
- Knowledge of Azure AI / AI application integration and cloud-based AI solutions.
- Understanding of data streaming and near-real-time integration patterns is highly preferred.

Finance Functional Expertise - Mandatory

- Strong understanding of Finance business processes.
- Hands-on experience with Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) / Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Good understanding of:

- Experience with APIs, OData, SQL, REST, and cloud integration technologies.
- Experience with real-time or near-real-time data streaming.
- Understanding of AI/ML data architecture and Generative AI solutions.
- Experience integrating enterprise data platforms with AI applications.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, lineage, and data quality.
- Strong understanding of enterprise cloud architecture.
