About WeKan Enterprise Solutions
WeKan Enterprise Solutions is an AI-native product engineering company and a strategic investment of MongoDB. We take enterprises from legacy to intelligent: we modernize the mission-critical systems they run on, build the products they need, and operationalize AI across their operations —
end to end, accelerated by our own proprietary agentic platforms: Nexus, our agentic modernization factory; Helix, our AI-native product engineering platform; and NitroStack, our full-stack MCP platform for agentic infrastructure.
With a Fortune 500 track record across North America, Europe, and APAC, and deep practices in financial services and healthcare, we deliver the hard, mission-critical work — and we run our own delivery on agentic AI. We did not just adopt AI; we rebuilt how we work around it.
About the Role
As the Lead Product Manager, you will head the Product Management function at WeKan. Note that
Product Management is a distinct function here, separate from our Project Management department; this role owns the product side. The role carries two mandates, and both are strategic to the company’s growth.
First, you will co-own the product vision and strategy for WeKan’s proprietary platforms — Helix,
Nexus, and NitroStack — together with the founders. These platforms are the engine of our differentiation and growth: they are how we deliver faster, more repeatably, and at lower risk than traditional consultancies, and they are products in their own right. You will be accountable for running one coherent vision across all of them and turning that vision into roadmaps, requirements,
and shipped product.
Second, you will lead the Product Management function across our client engagements: directly leading and mentoring our team of two Product Managers, owning the standards and playbooks by which product management is practiced at WeKan, and staying hands-on on our most strategic engagements.
We are building a lean, AI-driven product organization. We rebuilt our own delivery on agentic AI,
and we expect our product leadership to work the same way: AI-first, with the minimum process that adds value, leading from the front. This is not a role for process-heavy or delegate-and-wait leadership styles.
Roles & Responsibilities
Platform Product Vision & Strategy
- Co-own the product vision and strategy for WeKan’s platform portfolio — Helix, Nexus, and
NitroStack — with the founders, and own its translation into platform roadmaps, release plans,
and success metrics.
- Run one coherent vision across the platforms: ensure they compose into a single journey —
from modernization (Nexus) to AI-native product engineering (Helix) to agentic infrastructure
(NitroStack) — rather than evolving as disconnected tools.
- Drive the loop between client engagements and the platforms, so that what we learn in delivery compounds into platform IP: agents, playbooks, accelerators, and reusable patterns.
- Champion platform-powered delivery: ensure engagements are scoped, sold, and delivered on our platforms, and feed platform gaps discovered in the field back into the roadmaps.
- Partner with engineering leadership on agent architectures, model selection, and platformlevel trade-offs, and with go-to-market on packaging, positioning, and pre-sales for platformled deals.
- Define and track platform product metrics — adoption across engagements, cycle-time impact,
quality outcomes — and report on them to leadership.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor and manage the company’s Product Managers, owning their goal-setting,
performance reviews, coaching and career development.
- Model and coach modern, AI-augmented ways of working, actively upskilling the team on AI tools and techniques.
- Allocate product management capacity across client engagements and platform work,
balancing workloads and matching PMs to projects based on skills and growth areas.
- Act as the escalation point for product decisions, scope conflicts and prioritization trade-offs across engagements.
- Support hiring and onboarding as the team grows, and build a PM culture of ownership, speed and customer-centricity.
Product Management Function, Standards & Governance
- Define and continuously improve a lean product management playbook: standards, templates and best practices for PRDs, functional and non-functional specifications, roadmaps, backlog management, estimation and release planning.
- Embed AI-assisted workflows into the playbook (research synthesis, spec drafting, prototyping,
analytics) so the function operates at maximum efficiency.
- Ensure standards are consistently followed across all engagements through regular reviews,
audits of artifacts and structured feedback to the team.
- Keep process lean: establish quality gates for key deliverables while cutting ceremony that does not add value.
- Define and track metrics for the health of the PM function (delivery speed, requirement quality, customer satisfaction) and report on them to leadership.
- Represent the Product Management function in leadership discussions, resourcing decisions and pre-sales conversations where product expertise is needed.
Hands-on Product Delivery
- Build, manage and maintain product life cycles and roadmaps for your own engagements, and oversee those owned by your team.
- Be the voice of the customer and the subject-matter expert for your group.
- Develop and publish Product Requirements and Functional/Non-Functional Requirement
Specifications, including detailed feature descriptions and customer usage scenarios.
- Work with Engineering, Design and QA teams to drive products from initial concept through development and testing, delivering timely, high-quality releases.
- Gather, prioritize and communicate business, customer and technical requirements into product backlogs, clearly documented for engineering and delivery teams.
- Drive Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, grooming sessions, sprint reviews, customer walkthroughs) and manage JIRA/ADO boards.
- Track and analyze testing results, identify required remediation and work with product teams to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and service delivery teams to prioritize development activities,
make trade-offs and plan actions.
- Summarize weekly status in concise reports to leadership and customers, and set the standard for how the team reports.
Required Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of product management experience, including experience leading or mentoring other
Product Managers.
- Proven ownership of product vision and strategy for a platform, product line or portfolio — not only feature-level execution — with the ability to align founders, engineering and go-to-market around a single roadmap.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered or agentic products: defining product behavior for
LLM-based features and agents, and working with retrieval (RAG) and vector search,
orchestration, evaluations, guardrails and human-in-the-loop design. Familiarity with the emerging agentic stack (MCP, agent frameworks) is a strong plus.
- AI-native ways of working: daily, fluent use of AI tools (LLM assistants, AI-assisted research,
prototyping and analytics) to compress discovery, specification and delivery cycles, and the ability to coach others to do the same.
- Strong bias for action: ships fast, iterates on evidence, and defaults to doing rather than deliberating.
- Lean product mindset: prioritizes outcomes over output, ruthless about prioritization, keeps documentation and process proportionate to value.
- Data-driven and experiment-led decision making; evidence over opinion.
- Continuous learner with first-principles thinking; adapts quickly to new tools, domains and ways of working rather than defaulting to past habits.
- Track record of setting up or modernizing product management practices and driving adoption across teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, with hands-on experience running scrum ceremonies and managing JIRA/ADO boards.
- Experience in a consulting or client-services environment, managing multiple concurrent engagements and stakeholders, is a solid plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; proactive, asks the right questions and gets to the point.
- Low-ego, hands-on leadership style; leads from the front and earns trust through work.
- Strong awareness of technology trends — including generative and agentic AI, MCP, cloud,
mobile, IoT and modern data platforms such as MongoDB — and their influence on client solutions.
