Senior Medical Coders

Kaliper is looking for Certified Professional Coders (CPCs) to contribute their medical coding expertise to an exciting project focused on training and improving next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required. Your medical coding knowledge and real-world experience are what matter.

You’ll work with clinical documentation and medical records to help evaluate, annotate, and improve AI-generated outputs and datasets.

What you’ll be doing:

→ Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10 & CPT codes

→ Apply E&M; leveling using official guidelines

→ Validate coding against current coding standards

→ Identify and resolve ambiguities in clinical documentation

→ Provide feedback on coding edge cases and guidelines

→ Help create and validate high-quality medical coding datasets for AI training

Requirements:

✅ Active AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification — required





✅ Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and E&M; guidelines

✅ Experience working with diverse clinical documentation

✅ Excellent written and verbal communication

✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

✅ Access to current ICD-10, CPT and E&M; reference materials

✅ Ability to work remotely

Nice to have:

• Experience with digital annotation platforms

• Previous AI training / data annotation experience

• Experience working on healthcare data projects
