Hands-on CAD Design & Engineering Implementation
- Personally create and modify SolidWorks 3D parts, large assemblies, configurations, sheet-metal components, weldments, machined, cast and plastic parts, tubing routes, and equipment layouts for NPD and redesign projects.
- Prepare production-ready 2D drawings with GD&T;, tolerance stack-ups, materials, finishes,

welding and fabrication requirements, critical characteristics, assembly notes, and complete

BOMs.

- Own prototype builds, fit and function reviews, design iterations, root-cause resolution, and

ECR/ECO release through PDM/PLM systems; ensure models, drawings, BOMs, specifications, and test requirements remain aligned.

Value Engineering, Cost & Manufacturability

- Apply VAVE, teardown, function analysis, design-to-cost, should-costing, DFM/DFA, and part count reduction to identify practical product and process improvements.
- Develop fact-based options and business cases covering material, labour, tooling, NRE, test, scrap,

inventory, warranty, service, ROI, payback, and implementation risk.
- Implement cost reductions through material and process substitution, tolerance optimization,

commonization, modularity, supplier-process alignment, and assembly simplification; track projected versus realized benefits.

Validation, Compliance & Risk Management

- Define and execute system and mechanical verification strategies, including DVP&R;, dimensional,

functional, pressure and leak, flow, thermal, vibration, endurance, environmental, reliability, and fault-condition testing.
- Lead design reviews, DFMEA, tolerance and risk analyses; use prototype, production, field-return,

and test data to resolve failures and improve robustness.
- Ensure designs preserve nitrogen purity, pressure and flow performance, compressor duty cycle,

structural and pressure safety, electrical interfaces, reliability, serviceability, and field performance.
- Assess certification impact and provide technical evidence to Compliance teams for UL, FM, NFPA,

IEC, pressure-system, or other applicable requirements; escalate risks with clear mitigation and decision options.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

- Provide technical direction and mentoring to mechanical, electrical, firmware, validation, CAD, and supplier-engineering contributors while remaining accountable for personal design deliverables.
- Coordinate effectively with US Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain,

Manufacturing, Compliance, Quality, Finance, service teams, suppliers, and test laboratories.
