Role

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially strong Manager- Procurement & Raw Material Sourcing to lead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and other key inputs for our cattle feed manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in agri-commodity procurement, feed raw materials, vendor development, price negotiation and supply planning. The person will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted availability of quality raw materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials required for cattle feed manufacturing as per approved quality and production requirements.
- Source and manage commodities such as maize, rice bran, wheat bran, oil cakes, soybean products, DDGS and other feed ingredients.
- Coordinate procurement of minerals, premixes, additives and packaging materials.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of suppliers, traders and manufacturers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with vendors.
- Monitor commodity markets, seasonal availability and price movements.
- Identify alternate suppliers and opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Prepare procurement plans based on production forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels while controlling working capital and avoiding stock-outs.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality and Stores teams.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of purchased materials.
- Prepare purchase MIS, price comparisons, vendor performance reports and market intelligence reports.





Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate in Agriculture, Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement or raw material sourcing.
- Experience in cattle feed, poultry feed, animal nutrition, agri-commodities, food or feed manufacturing will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation, commercial and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of commodity markets and raw material sourcing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel for supplier development and procurement activities.
- Knowledge of Odia, Hindi and English will be an advantage.
