We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – International MICE to lead the planning, development, and execution of international MICE programs for corporate clients.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of relevant experience with a reputed MICE travel company, corporate travel organization, or established travel and events company, with strong expertise in international group movements, incentive travel, corporate events, destination management, and client servicing.
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong commercial acumen, destination knowledge, operational expertise, client management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
International MICE Planning & Execution
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of international MICE programs, incentive trips, conferences, corporate events, and group movements.
Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initial client brief and conceptualization through costing, contracting, pre-event planning, on-ground execution, and post-event closure.
Coordinate international travel logistics including group air ticketing, visas, hotels, DMCs, venues, transfers, excursions, entertainment, hospitality, and event production.
Manage complex, multi-country group movements and ensure seamless coordination across all stakeholders.
Oversee on-ground operations and ensure a high-quality experience for clients and guests.
Client Management & Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key accounts.
Understand client requirements and develop innovative MICE concepts, itineraries, proposals, and presentations.
Lead client pitches and presentations and effectively communicate creative and commercial solutions.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, account growth, and new MICE assignments.
Manage client expectations, escalations, and communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Commercial & Vendor Management
Prepare detailed project costing, budgets, quotations, and P&L.;
Take ownership of project profitability and ensure delivery within approved budgets and margin targets.
Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with airlines, hotels, DMCs, venues, production companies, and other service partners.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with international DMCs, hotels, and strategic suppliers.
Evaluate new destinations, suppliers, and experiences to enhance the company’s MICE offering.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the International MICE team.
Allocate projects and monitor timelines, deliverables, costing, and operational performance.
Review proposals, itineraries, budgets, and execution plans to ensure quality and accuracy.
Drive operational discipline, collaboration, and service excellence across the team.
Destination & Product Development
Stay updated on international MICE destinations, hotels, venues, attractions, experiences, and emerging trends.
Identify and develop new destination and experiential offerings for corporate clients.
Undertake destination research and site inspections where required.
Qualifications & Experience
15+ years of experience in International MICE / Corporate Travel / Business Travel & Events.
Candidates from reputed MICE travel companies are strongly preferred.
Proven experience independently managing international corporate groups, incentive movements, and events.
Extensive knowledge of international destinations, hotels, DMCs, airlines, venues, and destination logistics.
Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in costing, budgeting, negotiation, margins, and project P&L; management.
Excellent client management, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and managing teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, commercially sound decisions.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and proposal/presentation development tools.
- Willingness to travel internationally for destination research, site inspections, and on-ground project execution.
