Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java + Oracle Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL performance tuning, and distributed data platforms such as Spark and Hadoop.

Experience with GCP and BigQuery is highly preferred. The candidate should be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux workplace and have strong knowledge of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

- Develop robust and scalable applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Develop and manage complex database schemas, queries, packages, stored procedures, and functions using Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts for efficient data manipulation and retrieval.
- Perform SQL/PLSQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Work with distributed data processing platforms such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Develop solutions using cloud and data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Analyze and improve application and database performance to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Work in a Unix/Linux environment, including shell scripting, file handling, and system commands.
- Handle and process complex data formats, including XML parsing.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies.
- Participate throughout the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini to improve productivity and code quality.

Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of experience as a Java + Oracle Developer.
- Robust expertise in Core Java (Java 8+).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience developing:
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Packages
- Complex SQL Queries
- Strong experience in SQL/PLSQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop/Spark.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and file handling.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Valuable-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with BigQuery.
- Knowledge of XML parsing and processing.
- Experience in Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domains.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as:
- GitHub Copilot
- Gemini

Domain Experience

- 2–4 years of experience working in a global Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services organization is preferred.
