Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Java JavaEE Developer role based in Mumbai.

The Senior

Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and services that power HummingBird’s AI-driven talent platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust Java and Jakarta EE components, integrating with web services and databases, optimizing performance, and ensuring secure, high-quality code through testing and code reviews. The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions,



as well as mentoring developers and contributing to best practices and architectural improvements.

The Senior

Developer will also participate in troubleshooting production issues and supporting continuous improvement of the platform’s reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core Java and experience building enterprise applications using JavaEE/Jakarta EE.
- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and integration.
- Practical experience designing and consuming web services (REST/SOAP) and working with APIs in distributed systems.
- Solid background in software development principles, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with build tools and frameworks commonly used in Java ecosystems (e.g., Maven/Gradle, Spring or similar frameworks).
- Knowledge of application security, performance tuning, and scalability in high-availability environments.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in HRTech, AI-driven platforms, or large-scale SaaS applications is a plus.
