Role Description
This is a full-time, in office Senior Hardware Engineer role based in Chennai.
The Senior Hardware
Engineer will design, develop, and validate electronic hardware for automotive applications, including circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB lay-outing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware systems for automotive applications (ECUs).
- Perform schematic design, component selection, and PCB lay-outing.
- Conduct circuit simulations, Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and thermal analysis.
- Execute hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using standard lab equipment.
- Participate in design reviews, and perform DFMEA and reliability analysis.
- Support manufacturing through DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability) activities,
including test fixture development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, validation) for system integration.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in automotive hardware design and development.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB design using Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, Altium, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and EMC/EMI design practices.
- Experience in board bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis.
