Role: Software Engineer III – Python, Java & AI

This is a senior-level software engineering position within JPMorgan Chase's Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Payments Technology team. You'll work in an agile workplace designing and delivering secure, scalable, and reliable technology products. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, full-stack engineering, and working with enterprise-scale systems in a regulated financial environment.

What You’ll Do

- Code & Design: Build secure, high-performance applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
- AI-Powered Dev: Use tools like GitHub Copilot, LangChain, or Cursor AI to speed up coding, refactoring, and testing (while ensuring the output is solid and secure).
- Data & DBs: Write complex SQL queries, optimize stored procedures, and handle large datasets.
- DevOps: Own the full lifecycle—from design to deployment—using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
- Collaborate:



Work closely with product owners and engineers in an agile setup.

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves) To be considered, you need all of the below:

- Experience: 3+ years in a large corporate/enterprise environment.
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT OR equivalent certifications (AWS, Oracle, Microsoft).
- Java: 3+ years (Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs).
- Python: 2+ years (production-grade).
- AI Tools: 2+ years using enterprise AI tools (Copilot, Claude, LangChain, etc.).
- System Design: Experience contributing to architecture and design.
- SQL: Strong hands-on with stored procedures, views, and query tuning.
- SDLC: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security best practices.

Bonus Points (Preferred)

- Front-end skills (React/Angular).
- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Worked in Payments, Investment Banking, or financial services.
