Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Embedded Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The person in this role will design, develop, and optimize embedded software for Aeva’s 4D LiDAR sensors and perception platforms, working closely with hardware, firmware, and algorithm teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing real-time software components, integrating device drivers and communication interfaces, troubleshooting system-level issues, and improving performance, reliability, and safety of embedded systems. The role also involves code reviews, documentation of designs, collaboration on system architecture decisions, and support for validation, testing,



and deployment of embedded solutions into production environments.

Engineer will mentor team members, contribute to best practices in embedded development, and help ensure that Aeva’s products meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong experience in embedded software development using C/C++ for real-time systems, microcontrollers, or SoCs.
- Proficiency with embedded operating systems (e.g., RTOS, embedded Linux), device drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
- Background in system architecture, performance optimization, and debugging tools for embedded platforms (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, profilers).
- Knowledge of perception, sensing, or signal processing domains, ideally with exposure to LiDAR, radar, or similar sensor technologies.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development practices (Git, code reviews, issue tracking).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience in automotive or robotics safety standards, functional safety concepts, and production-grade embedded product development.
