Role Description The Senior Design Engineer – Machine and Automation is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automated machinery and systems, from concept through detailed engineering and commissioning. Day-to-day activities include creating and reviewing mechanical and automation designs, preparing engineering drawings and specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing prototyping and testing.

The Senior Design

Engineer will troubleshoot technical issues, refine designs based on performance data, and ensure that solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with vendors and manufacturing partners,



and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical design skills for machinery and automation systems, including experience with 3D CAD tools and engineering documentation.
- Solid understanding of automation technologies, such as motion control, sensors, actuators, and integration with control systems.
- Experience with product development lifecycles, from concept and prototyping to testing, validation, and deployment.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements, perform engineering calculations, and optimize designs for performance, safety, and cost.
- Proven track record of collaborating in multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in machine design and industrial automation, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting designs and project updates to stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers and contributing to process and design standardization is an advantage.
