We are looking for a QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience and strong expertise in Manual QA, API Testing, Integration Testing, and Backend Validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing APIs, debugging backend issues, working with Linux systems, and collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute manual test cases with a robust focus on API, integration, and backend testing.
- Perform functional and integration testing across distributed systems and backend services.
- Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, curl, or equivalent tools.
- Analyse API requests, responses, headers, status codes, and error handling.
- Perform backend validation and troubleshoot issues across API, service, and database layers.
- Analyse application and system logs to identify issues and determine root causes.
- Use Linux command-line tools for debugging, validation, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Perform basic shell scripting where required for testing and debugging activities.
- Prepare detailed test cases, API test scenarios, test data, and defect reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting logs.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to ensuring product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support API automation initiatives using Karate, RestAssured,



or equivalent frameworks.
- Leverage JavaScript in automation or manual testing projects as required.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in QA/Software Testing.
- Strong experience in Manual QA and Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience in API Testing, Integration Testing, and Backend Testing.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and experience with Postman, curl, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of Linux systems, including command-line usage, log analysis, and process monitoring.
- Basic knowledge of shell scripting for debugging and validation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues across API, service, and database layers.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis using logs and system behaviour.
- Experience writing detailed test cases, API test scenarios, and defect reports.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Good understanding of API automation using Karate, RestAssured, or equivalent tools/frameworks.
- Experience with JavaScript in automation or manual testing projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Experience testing distributed systems and backend services.
- Experience with database validation and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Exposure to performance, security, or reliability testing of APIs.
