Role Description The Senior Automation Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Canada. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems that improve operational efficiency and reliability. The engineer will develop and optimize process control strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics and automation solutions, and conduct detailed troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.

Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, preparing technical documentation,



and mentoring junior team members in automation best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting abilities, including diagnosing and resolving issues in complex automation and control systems.
- Proficiency in process control, including configuration, optimization, and maintenance of control loops and related instrumentation.
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering, with experience in industrial electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards.
- Hands-on expertise in automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI systems, and integration with industrial equipment.
- Experience with robotics systems, including programming, deployment, and maintenance of robotic arms or automated material handling.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead automation engineering role within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
