What is the role:
This position is embedded within Hollywell, a respected CPA & Accounting Services firm under the Numera umbrella. We are seeking an Associate / Sr Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to identify acquisition opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and support transaction execution.
The position is remote-based and is ideal for professionals with 2–5 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory, or financial due diligence.
What you would do:
- Support buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements by analysing historical financial information, identifying key business trends, and evaluating earnings quality, net working capital, and net debt.
- Review financial statements, trial balances, general ledgers, and supporting schedules to identify accounting anomalies, transaction-related risks, and items requiring further investigation.
- Prepare due diligence workpapers,
schedules, and client-ready reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to engagement timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with onshore engagement teams to address diligence requests, perform follow-up analyses, and support discussions with management based on identified findings.
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail, effective communication, and timely delivery in a fast-paced transaction environment.
What you need:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA, CPA (US), ACCA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Advisory Services, Audit, or Assurance, preferably supporting US or international clients.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, Quality of Earnings (QoE), Net Working Capital (NWC), Net Debt, and basic accounting concepts under US GAAP or IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze large datasets and prepare client-ready workpapers and reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and collaborate effectively with global teams.
