Role Title: Scrum Master

Position Summary:

At Marriott International, we are seeking a highly engaged and motivated Scrum Master to join our fast-paced and high-performing application development team. As a Scrum Master at Marriott International, the candidate will lead one or more agile teams, enabling smooth delivery, continuous improvement, and team cohesion. The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives)



with discipline and energy.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure clarity and prioritization of the product backlog.
- Identify and remove blockers or dependencies impacting team delivery, escalating as needed.
- Track key metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to drive transparency and performance.
- Coordinate across multiple teams and departments in a matrixed environment to ensure alignment and progress.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in a fast-paced, agile software development environment.
- Proven success working in complex, matrixed teams or organizations.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Expertise in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Skilled Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.

Nice to have:

- Experience working in scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus.
- Background in QA, or product ownership.
- Advanced Scrum certification (A-CSM, PSM II) or Agile Coaching experience.

Education and Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certification
