Senior SAP ABAP Consultant / Technical Lead – SAP S/4 HANA

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA development and implementation projects. The candidate should possess deep hands-on experience in Module Pool Programming, RICEF development, ABAP on HANA, and SAP technical architecture. The role involves end-to-end technical design, development, implementation, integration, and support across multiple SAP modules.

The ideal candidate must have worked on at least 2–3 SAP S/4 HANA implementation or migration projects and should be capable of leading technical discussions with business and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP solutions in SAP S/4HANA environment.

Work extensively on

- Module Pool Programming
- RICEF Objects
- Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)
- Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits
- SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts
- Interfaces using IDOC, RFC, BAPI, OData, Web Services

Develop and optimize ABAP on HANA objects including:
- CDS Views
- AMDP
- OOABAP
- New ABAP Syntax

Participate in full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, and support projects. Collaborate with functional consultants across SAP modules.

Perform technical design reviews, code reviews,



debugging, and performance tuning.

Handle technical documentation, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior ABAP developers.

Work on SAP Fiori/UI5 integration and OData services.

Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and development standards.

Mandatory Skills required

12–14 years of solid SAP ABAP development experience.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience.

Strong expertise in Module Pool Programming.

Extensive experience in

- RICEF Development
- OOABAP
- ALV Reports
- Enhancements Framework
- BADI/User Exits
- IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs
- SmartForms / Adobe Forms

Hands-on experience with:
- CDS Views
- AMDP
- OData Services
- SAP Gateway

Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or migration projects. Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Experience working in Agile and onsite-offshore delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / MCA.

SAP ABAP on HANA Certification.

Exposure to integration with third-party applications.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to independently handle technical solutioning and client discussions.
