What the candidate will actually do:

This is an SAP ABAP developer/lead role but with a niche twist: the ABAP work supports geospatial/mapping/location-intelligence business processes (not standard SD/MM/FI type SAP work). The person will build ABAP Workflows, Web Dynpro (WD4A) screens, and custom Reports that let business users interact with map/location data inside SAP. They'll also do code reviews, defect resolution, testing, documentation, mentoring, and stakeholder demos.

It's a senior individual contributor role with informal team-lead/mentoring responsibilities (title says "Manager" but JD reads like a Senior/Lead Developer, not a people-manager role).

Must Have

- SAP ABAP (812 yrs hands-on)
- SAP ABAP Workflow (business workflow design/development)
- SAP Web Dynpro ABAP (WD4A) – component design, context management, UI development




- ABAP Reports (Classic + contemporary reporting: ALV, SmartForms/Adobe Forms if applicable)
- SAP Transport Management / Change Management (TMS)
- Defect analysis, unit/integration/regression testing
- Communication skills for hybrid/distributed team collaboration

Good to Have

- Geospatial/GIS/mapping business process exposure (SAP GEF, Esri ArcGIS integration, SAP for Utilities Network geodata, or similar)
- SAP Certified Development Associate/Specialist – ABAP
- Agile/Scrum delivery exposure
- Basis coordination experience (performance tuning, system landscape)
- Mentoring/leading junior developers
- Data governance/security/access control (authorization objects)
