About the Role
Client is seeking a Reporting & Portfolio Analytics Associate to support analysis, reporting, and technology initiatives across the firm’s open-end strategy funds. This role will focus on delivering timely and accurate portfolio, performance, liquidity, and investor-related reporting for continuously offered vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Produce recurring and ad hoc analyses related to positions, portfolio exposures, liquidity, and performance across open-end strategy funds.
- Prepare and enhance reporting covering performance metrics, risk analytics, portfolio characteristics, and liquidity profiles.
- Develop subject matter expertise in assigned open-end strategies, including fund structure, liquidity terms, and reporting conventions.
- Master internal systems to efficiently source data, create extracts, and validate fund-level reporting outputs.
- Utilize Python, SQL, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to manage and manipulate large datasets related to portfolio holdings, performance, and capital activity.
- Support automation of recurring investor reporting and internal performance packages.
- Partner with technology teams to enhance data integrity, scalability, and reporting efficiency for continuously offered fund structures.
- Collaborate closely with Investment/Portfolio Management, Product Specialists, Investor Relations, Marketing and Business Development, Accounting, IT, and Compliance to produce and refine open-end fund deliverables.
- Contribute to process improvements that strengthen reporting accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
Partnership & Innovation
- Collaborate with organizational partners to produce and advance R&P; deliverables: Investment/Portfolio Management, Product Specialists, Investor Relations, Marketing and business development, Accounting, IT, and Compliance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience at an asset management firm, investment bank, or financial services organization.
- Solid understanding of open-end fund structures including portfolio exposure monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of alternative investments and related reporting outputs (performance reporting, risk metrics, portfolio characteristics).
- 3+ years of experience utilizing Python, SQL, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to support data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Basic familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) preferred.

Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred).
- Chartered Accountant(CA) designation, CFA designation, CA Inter qualification, and/or MBA with a focus in Finance preferred.
