Role Description This is a full time, on-site Relationship Manager (Microfinance) role based in Firozpur.

The Relationship

Manager will be responsible for sourcing and managing microfinance customers, building strong relationships with self-help groups, joint liability groups, and individual borrowers, and supporting them with appropriate banking and credit solutions. The role includes conducting field visits, assessing customer needs and creditworthiness, ensuring timely loan processing and disbursement, and monitoring portfolio health to maintain asset quality.

Manager will manage collections, address customer queries and service issues, and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. The position also involves cross-selling suitable banking products, preparing basic reports and documentation, and coordinating with branch and regional teams to achieve business targets.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in customer relationship management, field sales, and portfolio handling within microfinance or retail banking.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to work effectively with diverse customer groups in local communities.
- Basic understanding of credit assessment, documentation, and risk management principles relevant to small-ticket loans and microfinance products.
- Ability to manage collections, resolve customer concerns professionally, and maintain high standards of service and compliance.
- Comfort with using banking systems and digital tools for customer onboarding, transaction processing, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business, or a related discipline; experience in microfinance, rural banking, or financial inclusion programs is an advantage.
- Fluency in local language and working knowledge of English; willingness to travel locally for customer visits and group meetings.
