Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Control Mechanical Engineer with around 2 years of experience in fabrication panels. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting fabricated components and panels, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect fabricated panels, assemblies, and mechanical components at various stages of production.
- Review mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, height gauges, etc.
- Check welding, cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, fit-up, and assembly quality.
- Communicate powder coating requirements to suppliers as per approved customer workmanship standards. Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated panels.
- Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and coordinate with the production team for corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports, check sheets, NCRs, and other quality-related documentation.
- Ensure fabrication work is carried out according to approved drawings and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with production, design, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain inspection records and ensure proper traceability of materials and components.
- Support internal and customer inspections when required.




- Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Fabrication Planning & Delivery-

- Coordinate fabrication planning activities based on project schedules, production priorities, and material availability.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Purchase, Stores, and Design teams to avoid material shortages and production delays.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Inspection, preferably in fabrication panels, sheet-metal fabrication, electrical panels, or industrial fabrication.
- Good knowledge of mechanical drawings and fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication inspection methods.
- Ability to use basic mechanical measuring and inspection instruments.
- Valuable understanding of dimensional tolerances and workmanship requirements.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain quality documentation.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Knowledge of welding standards and inspection practices.
- Experience working with sheet-metal or structural fabrication.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify fabrication defects.
