Our Umbergaon facility (Unit II) runs modern tube-making operations — melting, casting, extrusion, pilgering, drawing, annealing, finning and finishing — serving HVAC, medical gas pipeline, plumbing and industrial applications. We invest in current manufacturing technology and in the people who run it, and we manage our operations on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

About the Role

You will be the eyes of quality on the shop floor — inspecting copper tube at incoming, in-process and final stages, catching defects before they reach the customer, and recording results honestly. It's a hands-on entry-level quality role and an excellent way for a fresher to learn copper-tube quality, measurement and inspection from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of copper tube per inspection plans.
- Check dimensions, wall thickness, length, surface, finish and visual defects using gauges and instruments.
- Use verniers, micrometers, gauges and measuring instruments correctly.
- Identify, segregate and tag non-conforming / rejected material; escalate to QA engineer.
- Record inspection results and rejection data accurately.
- Follow inspection standards, sampling plans and work instructions.
- Support RCA data collection and quality documentation.




- Maintain measuring-instrument care, calibration checks and 5S at the inspection point.

Educational Qualification B.E. Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

Fresher, or up to 1 year in quality inspection / QC.

Technical Skills

- Dimensional & visual inspection
- Use of verniers, micrometers, gauges
- Reading inspection plans & standards
- Defect identification & segregation

- Accurate data recording

- Basic MS Excel
