Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad & Bangalore

Years of Experience: 6 to 8 years

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners

Role Summary The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for upgrading and integrating third-party Python packages while resolving packaging, compatibility, build, and automated testing failures. The role requires strong expertise in Python development, debugging, dependency management, and Python packaging, along with experience working with open-source packages and CI/CD environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Upgrade Python packages across supported runtime versions.
- Resolve dependency, API, import, packaging, build, and automated test failures.
- Update package metadata and internal build configurations.
- Reconcile local patches and diagnose CI/presubmit failures.
- Validate package upgrades and ensure compatibility across supported environments.




- Maintain technical documentation related to package upgrades, dependencies, configurations, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Python development and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with pip/PyPI, wheels, virtual environments, and Python packaging .
- Robust knowledge of pytest or equivalent testing frameworks .
- Experience with dependency resolution and version compatibility management.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Linux, scripting, CI/CD, and log analysis .
- Experience maintaining, upgrading, or integrating open-source Python packages.
