Job Description
Payroll Subject Matter Expert APAC | Pune | Full-time
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll operations across the APAC region. The role requires solid in-house payroll processing experience with expertise in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan payrolls. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll delivery, statutory compliance, vendor governance, audit management, payroll controls, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.

What you will do
Payroll Operations
- Manage and execute end-to-end in-house payroll operations for Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan.
- Process payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, bonuses, incentives, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Perform payroll validations, reconciliations, and variance analysis.




- Manage off-cycle payrolls, retro payments, and final settlements.

Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll, tax, social security, pension, Superannuation and employment regulations.
- Review and validate statutory filings, payments, and returns.
- Monitor legislative changes and implement payroll process updates to maintain compliance.
- Maintain payroll documentation and records for statutory and compliance requirements.

Audit Management
- Coordinate and support internal, external, statutory, and financial audits.
- Serve as the primary payroll contact for auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, control documentation, and supporting evidence.
- Ensure payroll controls are effective and compliant with audit requirements.
- Drive remediation activities arising from audit observations.

Payroll Vendor Management
- Manage relationship
