QA Functional API Test Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in Functional Testing and API Testing, along with hands-on experience in leveraging AI tools for test case generation, test design, and API validation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments and capable of improving QA efficiency using AI-assisted testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end functional testing across web and mobile applications.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman, REST clients, or automation frameworks.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) for test case generation, test scenario optimization, and API test design and validation.
- Identify, analyze, and track defects with proper root cause analysis (RCA).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives.
- Improve QA processes by introducing automation and AI-driven efficiencies.
- Validate data integrity and backend workflows.

Functional Testing

- Robust understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience in Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and UAT.
- Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

API Testing

- Hands-on experience with REST API testing.
