Read this before applying: This is a pure Python/Django backend role. If your primary experience is Java, Node.js, .NET, or PHP, this is not a fit and we will not shortlist you. We are a 12 person team hiring 2 engineers who will own real systems, not tickets.

What you will actually do

We build for two domains: fintech (payments, reconciliation, ledgers, investments) and supply chain logistics (order flows, tracking, integrations with carrier and ERP systems). You will be one of a small number of backend engineers, working directly with founders. There is no layer between you and the business problem.

In your first six months you will likely: design and ship a service end to end, make the schema decisions for it, handle a real production incident, and talk directly to a client about what they actually need, not what the ticket said.

What we are looking for

- 3 to 5 years writing Python professionally, with at least 2 years on Django in production
- You have designed relational schemas yourself and can defend the choices normalisation, indexing, why a query got slow and what you did about it




- You have built REST APIs that other teams or clients consumed, and dealt with the consequences: versioning, auth, rate limits, breaking changes
- You have owned something in production. Not "worked on" owned. You were the one who got called when it broke.
- You use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a reliable part of your workflow and can talk about where they help and where they mislead you. We care about how fast you ship correct code, and we expect you to use these tools.
- You ask about the business reason behind a requirement before you build it

The role

- Pune, hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days from home
- No fixed shifts, no night shifts, no on-call rotation
- Full time, permanent

Our process

1. Short screening call (15 min)
2. Live technical round (60 min) you'll work through a real problem with one of us, using your own machine and whatever AI tools you normally use. No algorithm puzzles, no take home.
