Vendor sourcing: Identify and evaluate suppliers for elevator components, raw materials, and consumables.

Material procurement: Purchase items such as steel, sheets, cables, motors, gearboxes, controllers, electrical components, doors, brackets, fasteners, safety components, etc. RFQ & quotation comparison: Send enquiries to suppliers, collect quotations, negotiate prices, and prepare comparative statements.

Purchase orders: Create and release POs based on approved requirements and ensure correct specifications, quantities, prices, taxes, and delivery dates.

Cost negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing, payment terms, transportation, warranties, and other commercial conditions.

Production planning coordination: Work with Production, Design, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure materials are available as per the manufacturing schedule.

Supplier management: Develop recent vendors, evaluate existing suppliers, and monitor quality, delivery performance, and reliability.

Inventory control: Coordinate with Stores to maintain appropriate stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory.

Quality coordination: Work with the Quality department regarding rejected, defective,



or non-conforming materials and arrange replacement/returns. Delivery follow-up: Track pending POs and ensure suppliers deliver materials on time.

Documentation: Maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, supplier records, GRNs, and other procurement documents.

Cost reduction: Find alternate suppliers/materials and identify opportunities to reduce procurement and overall manufacturing costs.

Payment coordination: Coordinate with Accounts regarding invoice verification, supplier payments, and outstanding issues.

Compliance: Ensure purchased materials meet approved technical specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.

Key skills required : Vendor negotiation and supplier development Knowledge of elevator components and manufacturing materials Purchase/ERP software knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) Excel and comparative analysis Inventory and material planning Communication and follow-up skills Understanding of technical drawings/specifications Knowledge of GST, basic commercial terms, and purchase documentation Costing and price negotiation
