Role Description The Project Solution Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting machine vision solutions that meet customer requirements and align with Cognex standards. This full-time, in office role in Bengaluru involves reviewing customer applications, selecting appropriate hardware and software, developing proof-of-concept demonstrations, and configuring systems for deployment.

The position includes collaborating closely with sales teams, application engineers, and customer stakeholders to define project scope, create technical proposals, and ensure successful installation and commissioning.

Engineer also provides technical training, documentation, and post-deployment support,



while continuously refining solutions based on performance data and customer feedback. Travel to customer sites may be required for project execution, troubleshooting, and relationship management.

Qualifications

- Experience in machine vision, industrial automation, or robotics, with the ability to design and deploy integrated hardware and software solutions.
- Strong skills in system integration, including sensors, controllers, networking, and industrial communication protocols (such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, or Modbus).
- Proficiency in technical problem-solving, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis for complex automated systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and mechanical or electrical schematics for solution design and deployment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and presenting solutions to customers.
- Experience managing technical projects, including requirements gathering, planning, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Background in manufacturing or logistics environments is beneficial, especially in automated inspection, quality control, or material handling systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and travel to customer locations as needed.
