Position OverviewAmity University Ranchi invites applications from distinguished academicians, researchers, and technology leaders for the position of Professor Emeritus – Computer Science. The role is intended for an eminent professional with a solid academic and research track record who can provide intellectual leadership, mentor faculty and researchers, strengthen industry-academia collaborations, and contribute to the strategic development of the Computer Science discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide academic and intellectual leadership to the Computer Science & • Information Technology discipline.
- Mentor faculty members in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic progression.
- Guide and supervise high-quality research projects, Ph.D. scholars, and postgraduate research activities.
- Develop and strengthen research groups, centres of excellence, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Encourage research publications in reputed Scopus/SCI/SSCI/ABDC-indexed journals and conferences, as relevant to the discipline.
- Facilitate funded research projects and collaborations with government agencies, industry, and international academic institutions.
- Advise on curriculum development aligned with emerging technologies and industry requirements.
- Promote areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IoT,



Blockchain, Computer Vision, NLP, Software Engineering, and emerging computing technologies.
- Establish and strengthen collaborations with leading technology companies, research organizations, and universities.
- Mentor students and faculty through seminars, workshops, guest lectures, research discussions, and advanced technical programs.
- Support the university in developing Centre of Excellence, innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Contribute to accreditation, ranking, institutional development, and academic quality initiatives.
- Represent the University at national and international academic, research, and professional forums.
- Provide strategic advice to the University leadership on emerging trends and future directions in Computer Science and Technology.

Eligibility & • Experience
- Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Distinguished academic and/or research career with substantial experience in higher education, research institutions, or the technology industry.
- Strong record of research publications,



patents, funded projects, Ph.D. supervision, academic leadership, or technology innovation.
- Preference will be given to candidates with significant contributions to their field and recognition at national or international level.
- Experience in academic administration, institution building, research leadership, or industry collaboration will be highly desirable.
- Candidates with extensive experience as Professor, Dean, Director, Head of Department, Research Leader, Scientist, or senior technology professional may be considered.
