Textile Merchandiser / Export Office Executive

About the Role

We are a growing textile export business looking for an experienced Textile Merchandiser / Export Office Executive to join our Surat office.

The ideal candidate should have prior hands-on experience in the textile/fabric industry and a good understanding of different fabrics, textile suppliers, mills, processors and the Surat textile market.

This is not a general administrative position. We are specifically looking for someone who understands textiles and can independently coordinate between customers, suppliers, mills and our office.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day textile merchandising and office operations
- Understand and identify different types of fabrics, fibres, constructions, finishes and qualities
- Source fabrics and obtain competitive prices from mills, manufacturers, processors and traders
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding availability, quality, pricing, sampling and production
- Prepare quotations and costing for customers
- Handle customer enquiries and follow up through email, WhatsApp and phone
- Coordinate fabric sampling and dispatch of samples
- Follow up on orders from initial enquiry through production and shipment
- Maintain order, supplier and customer records using Excel
- Coordinate with production, processing, quality control and logistics teams
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure orders are completed on time
- Assist with export documentation and shipment coordination
- Communicate professionally with domestic and international customers and suppliers
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with textile suppliers and manufacturers in Surat




- Identify new fabric qualities, suppliers and market opportunities
- Coordinate with the management on pricing, sourcing and customer requirements

Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in textiles/fabrics is preferred
- Strong knowledge of fabrics and textile products
- Good understanding of the Surat textile market
- Experience dealing with textile mills, manufacturers, processors, traders or exporters
- Good knowledge of fabric costing and pricing
- Good negotiation and supplier-follow-up skills
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi and/or Gujarati
- Comfortable using MS Excel, email and WhatsApp
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned orders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced trading/export environment

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
