About the Role

Newchem Sunraysia Pvt. Ltd. manufactures 100% water-soluble fertilizers (WSF) under the YieldEx brand for fertigation and foliar application. This role is responsible for executing dry-blending production batches strictly as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and for verifying that the finished batch analysis conforms to the declared nutrient claims before release.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute blending batches strictly as per the approved BMR and SOP — correct ingredient sequencing, weighing accuracy, and mandatory in-process hold points.
- Verify incoming raw material assay/COA against approved specifications before any material is charged into a batch.
- Draw in-process samples and carry out checks (solubility, pH, visual clarity/insolubles) at each specified stage of the batch.
- Coordinate with the QC lab to review final batch analysis against declared nutrient claims (N, P₂O₅, K₂O, secondary and trace elements), and report findings to the Plant Head for the batch release decision.
- Maintain complete, real-time, signed batch documentation (BMR, in-process logs, deviation notes) — no retrospective entries.
- Carry out seal-integrity checks and packing discipline,



including monsoon/humidity-related handling provisions for hygroscopic products.
- Immediately flag any deviation — off-spec raw material, incomplete dissolution, unexpected insolubles, off-spec pH, or any other anomaly — to the Plant Head. This role does not have independent authority to hold or reject a batch; all hold/reject decisions rest with the Plant Head.
- Maintain housekeeping, material traceability, and batch-to-batch changeover discipline on the production floor.

Requirements

Qualification

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, or Diploma/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Experience

- 2–5 years in a batch manufacturing role, preferably in fertilizer, agrochemical, or specialty chemical blending; food ingredient or pharma excipient blending backgrounds are also relevant.

Technical Skills

- Able to execute a multi-ingredient dry blend against a written BMR without deviation, including sequencing and hold-point discipline.
- Working knowledge of pH measurement and basic solubility/jar testing.
- Able to read and interpret a Certificate of Analysis (COA) against a nutrient claim sheet.

Documentation

- Comfortable with real-time batch record completion; basic proficiency in MS Excel/Word for batch paperwork.

Physical / Operational

- Able to work on a production floor involving weighing and material handling; willing to work same-shift packing when required by product stability needs.

Key Attribute

- Must escalate anomalies to the Plant Head rather than adjust and proceed, or hold/reject a batch, on their own — this role functions as a compliance checkpoint that reports findings, not a decision-making authority.
