Job Purpose To monitor and ensure the quality of injection moulded components during production by conducting in-process inspections, identifying defects, maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with customer and company quality standards.

1. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-process inspection of injection moulded components as per Control Plan, Inspection Standards and Work Instructions.

- Check visual, dimensional and functional characteristics of components.

- Identify defects such as short moulding, flash, sink mark, burn mark, warpage, flow mark, weld line, black spot, colour variation, contamination and other moulding defects.

- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges and other inspection equipment.

- Verify first-off/initial samples after machine start-up, mould change, material change and process setting changes.

- Perform inspection at defined frequencies and record results in In-Process Inspection Reports / Quality Check Sheets.

- Ensure only approved/released parts are moved to the next process or dispatch.

- Segregate and identify OK, Rework and Rejected parts and maintain proper identification.

- Immediately inform the Production Supervisor/Quality Engineer about any abnormality or quality rejection.

- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality problems.

- Monitor critical process parameters where applicable, such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, moulding conditions and part weight.

- Verify components against drawing, specification, sample, master sample and customer requirements.

- Maintain proper traceability and inspection records.

- Ensure measuring instruments used for inspection are calibrated and in valid condition.

- Participate in line clearance and changeover inspection.

- Support customer complaints, internal rejection analysis and improvement activities.

- Follow 5S, safety rules, quality procedures and IATF 16949 requirements.





- Perform any other quality-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

1. Required Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Plastic, Production, Quality or related field.

- Candidates with relevant experience in plastic injection moulding quality inspection will be preferred.

1. Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in plastic injection moulding / automotive components.

- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

1. Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of injection moulding defects.

- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.

- Knowledge of Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges and other measuring instruments.

- Basic knowledge of Control Plan, Inspection Standards, Work Instructions and SPC.

- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools will be an advantage.

- Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.

- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining quality records.

1. Behavioural Skills

- Valuable observation and inspection skills.

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to identify and report quality abnormalities quickly.

- Good communication and coordination with Production and Quality teams.

- Discipline and willingness to work in shifts.

- Ability to work under production pressure without compromising quality.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

- In-process rejection percentage.

- Customer rejection / complaint contribution.

- Accuracy of inspection and measurement.

- Compliance with inspection frequency.

- Timely identification and segregation of defective parts.

- Accuracy and completeness of quality records.

- Reduction in internal rejection and rework.

- Compliance with Control Plan and quality procedures.

1. Working Conditions

- Work on the injection moulding shop floor.

- Shift working may be required.

- Regular interaction with Production, Quality, Tool Room and Maintenance teams.

Pay: ₹11,019.96 - ₹34,000.00 per month
