Production

Planning &

• Management

- Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timeline.
- Monitor production capacity, manpower, machines, and material availability.
- Coordinate with the Planning, Purchase, Stores, and Sales departments.

Factory

Operations
- Manage complete day-to-day factory operations.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all production lines and departments.
- Monitor productivity and identify production delays or bottlenecks.
- Implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.

3.

Manpower

Management
- Allocate workers according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance of employees.
- Train supervisors, operators, and production staff.
- Ensure proper shift planning and manpower utilization.

4.

Quality

Control
- Ensure electronic components are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team.
- Monitor rejection, defects, rework, and wastage.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.

5. Machine & • Equipment Management
- Ensure machines and production equipment are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Reduce machine downtime.
- Ensure proper operation and handling of production machinery.

6. Inventory & • Material Control
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of electronic components.
- Avoid production stoppages due to material shortages.

7. Safety & • Compliance
- Ensure all employees follow factory safety rules.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain a clean, secure,



and organized workplace.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable factory regulations.

8. Cost Control
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Reduce material wastage, rework, overtime, and machine downtime.
- Improve productivity and operational efficiency.

9. Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily production reports.
- Track production targets versus actual production.
- Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, material shortages, and manpower issues.
- Present production performance to senior management.

10.

Continuous

Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes.
- Implement 5S and other process improvement practices.
- Improve productivity, quality, delivery timelines, and employee efficiency.

A Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Production Management, Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, or Factory Operations.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Experience in an Electronics Components Manufacturing Company will be preferred.
- Knowledge of production processes, assembly lines, electronic components, and manufacturing operations.

Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that the factory produces the required quantity of electronic components on time, with good quality, minimum wastage, controlled costs, and proper employee discipline and safety.
