Role Description

We are looking for a Principal Data Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India .

The role is suitable for experienced data professionals with strong backgrounds in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, Cloud Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Pipelines, Analytics Engineering, and Data Infrastructure .

The Principal Data Engineer will act as a senior technical contributor, working closely with IT, analytics, finance, production, supply chain, sales, operations, and other business teams to design scalable data architecture, solve complex data challenges, and improve the organization’s overall data capabilities.

Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics engineering, ETL development, databases, cloud data, software engineering, or related roles are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates currently working as Senior Data Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, Data Architect,



Data Platform Engineer, Cloud Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Principal Engineer, ETL Lead, or Backend/Data Infrastructure Engineer can apply.
- Candidates from IT services, SaaS, technology, consulting, e-commerce, finance, telecom, manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, retail, or other data-driven industries are welcome.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL .
- Strong hands-on experience with Python or another programming language used for data engineering.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data integration, data modeling, and distributed data systems .
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar technologies .
- Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be preferred.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar platforms will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, cloud data platforms, or large-scale analytics systems will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other BI/reporting tools will be beneficial.
- Good understanding of data architecture, schema design, performance optimization, governance, lineage, and data security .
- Experience with real-time or streaming technologies will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, architecture, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to make technical decisions and guide other engineers.
- Ability to work effectively across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
- Good communication, documentation, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Willingness to work in an on-site environment .
- Strong focus on scalability, architecture, automation, reliability, data quality, and continuous improvement .
