Role Description As a Prep and Paint Artist at Pompee VFX Animation Studios, you will prepare shots for visual effects work, including plate cleanup, roto-paint tasks, and removal of unwanted elements. You will create clean plates, fix artifacts, and seamlessly integrate visual elements to support compositing and 3D workflows.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with compositors, CG artists, and supervisors to understand shot requirements, maintaining consistent quality across sequences, and meeting production deadlines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, requiring regular coordination with the broader production team and adherence to established pipeline and naming conventions.

Qualifications





- Strong proficiency with industry-standard VFX tools (e.g., Nuke, Photoshop, and related prep/paint software), with the ability to perform advanced roto-paint and cleanup tasks.
- Solid understanding of VFX workflows, including compositing basics, 3D integration, and shot pipeline processes, with an eye for continuity and technical accuracy.
- Demonstrated artistic skills, including strong visual judgment, attention to detail, color sense, and the ability to match grain, lighting, and texture across plates.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with supervisors and team members, take feedback constructively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple shots, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality standards in a fast-paced production workplace.
- Relevant training or degree in VFX, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in prep/paint or compositing roles.
- Experience in high-end film, streaming, or advertising VFX production is an advantage; familiarity with studio pipeline tools and asset management systems is beneficial.
