Research Summary

Professor Saharsh is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems Area at the Indian School of Business. Position Details

This posting is for an in-person post-doc position with Professor Saharsh Agarwal for a period of 1 year (extendable). The position is ideal for someone who is interested in working on emerging tech policy issues, especially in the Indian context. Applications for pre-doc researchers will also be considered.

Roles and Responsibilities

Post-doc

- Work with the faculty on research projects of common interest

Pre-doc RA

- Assist the faculty in his research projects by collecting and/or analyzing data

Required Skills and Qualifications





- Good knowledge of data processing using any tool (R, Python, Stata)
- Good understanding of Machine Learning
- Undergraduate/graduate degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Economics
- Superior academic performance, especially in analytical and quantitative courses
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated evidence of writing (reports, articles, dissertations) preferable
- Ability to incorporate intellectual inputs from multiple disciplines and to work independently
- Strong professional ethic including attention to detail, commitment to task completion under aggressive deadlines, and ability to multitask

Nice to have Skills

- Valuable understanding of Econometrics
- SQL
- Relevant projects in machine learning and natural-language processing
- Advanced programming skills
- Understanding of econometric models
