About the Role

We are looking for a Political Journalist cum Content Producer to develop and manage political content for a political leader's digital platforms.

The role involves political research, identifying relevant topics, developing content angles, creating social media strategies, writing scripts and preparing delivery-ready content for the political leader.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of Indian politics, current affairs, digital media and political communication, along with excellent research and script-writing abilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Research current political developments, government policies, public issues, social issues and relevant news.
- Monitor daily political news, social media trends and public conversations to identify potential content opportunities.
- Develop a social media content strategy based on current affairs, political positioning, important issues and audience interests.
- Plan content across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X.
- Develop weekly/monthly content calendars, themes and content pillars.
- Identify the right content angle, messaging and narrative for each topic.
- Write clear, engaging and delivery-ready scripts for the political leader.
- Prepare scripts for:
- Political Reels
- YouTube videos
- Current-affairs commentary
- Political explainers
- Issue-based videos
- Public reactions/statements
- Special-day and topical content
- Ensure scripts are written in a way that feels natural when spoken by the political leader, rather than sounding like a news article.




- Provide the political leader with relevant facts, statistics, references, talking points and background research to support the script.
- Fact-check all key claims and ensure content is based on credible sources.
- Work closely with the video editor, designer and social media team to ensure the final content matches the intended message.
- Suggest suitable hooks, video formats, titles, thumbnails, captions and CTAs wherever required.
- Track content performance and use insights to improve the content strategy and future topics.
- Stay updated with political trends, emerging issues and conversations relevant to the leader's audience.
- Be capable of working on quick-turnaround political content when a major development or breaking news event occurs.

Core Responsibilities 1. Political Research

Deep research into political developments, policies, current affairs and public issues.

2. Content Strategy

Build a structured social media strategy with content pillars, topics, formats, posting ideas and monthly/weekly content calendars.

3. Script Writing

Convert research into strong, engaging and factually sound scripts that the political leader can comfortably deliver on camera.

4. Content Direction

Provide clear recommendations on the hook, messaging, visuals,



format and overall direction of each piece of content.

5. Performance Analysis

Review content performance and audience response to identify what topics, formats and messaging work best.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Indian politics and current affairs.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong Hindi and English script-writing and communication skills.
- Ability to write natural, conversational and impactful scripts.
- Understanding of political communication and public positioning.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X.
- Ability to develop and execute a social media content strategy.
- Good understanding of hooks, storytelling, audience retention and short-form video content.
- Strong fact-checking and source-verification skills.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
