Role Description The Technical Trainer role at A5Automation is a full-time, on-site position based in Salem. The trainer will design and deliver instructor-led courses on PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and related industrial automation topics, using practical labs and real equipment. Daily responsibilities include preparing training materials, conducting classroom and lab sessions, assessing learner performance, and providing individualized feedback and mentoring.
The role involves updating content to reflect evolving industry standards, collaborating with the academy team on curriculum improvements, and supporting placement activities by preparing learners for technical interviews and workplace expectations.
The trainer is expected to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and ensure that training outcomes align with the academy’s quality and industry-readiness standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to deliver effective Technical Training, with experience as a Technical Trainer and familiarity with Training & Development practices.
- Solid facilitation and Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Experience designing and conducting structured Training programs, including lesson planning, assessment, and learner feedback.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial automation systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, Industrial Networks) and relevant software tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering/technology field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a lab/classroom environment, managing equipment and ensuring safety protocols.
- Prior teaching, corporate training, or mentoring experience in automation or control engineering is highly beneficial.
- Organizational and documentation skills for creating training materials, manuals, and evaluation reports.
