Key Responsibilities

1. PKI Design and Implementation:

- Design and implement a scalable and secure PKI architecture to meet the organization's cryptographic needs.

- Select and configure PKI software, hardware, and tools to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

1. Certificate Management:

- Develop and implement certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation policies.

- Manage certificate lifecycles, including certificate enrollment, validation, and revocation.

1. Key Management:

- Design and implement secure key management systems for encryption keys, digital signatures, and other cryptographic materials.

- Ensure proper key storage, backup, and recovery procedures.

1. Security Audits and Compliance:

- Conduct regular security audits to ensure PKI compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

- Implement security measures to protect against certificate misuse, tampering, and unauthorized access.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Development) to ensure PKI integration and support.





- Communicate technical information and PKI best practices to stakeholders and team members.

1. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay up-to-date with emerging PKI technologies, standards, and best practices.

- Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to optimize PKI operations.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

2. Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in PKI design, implementation, and management.

- 2+ years of experience in cryptography, network security, or a related field.

1. Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of PKI technologies (e.g., X.509, SSL/TLS, OCSP).

- Robust understanding of cryptography (e.g., public-key algorithms, digital signatures).

- Experience with PKI software (e.g., OpenSSL, OpenCA).

- Familiarity with cloud-based PKI solutions (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud).

1. Certifications:

- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications.

- PKI-specific certifications (e.g., PKEA, PKI-C).
