Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons aligned with the CISCE (ISC) curriculum.
- Develop annual, term-wise, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
- Ensure effective classroom instruction using interactive and student-centred teaching methodologies.
- Prepare students for the ISC Board Examinations through regular assessments, revision plans, and examination strategies.
- Integrate case studies, discussions, projects, research, and practical applications into classroom teaching.
- Promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking.
Assessment Evaluation
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic progress.
- Identify students requiring academic support and conduct remedial sessions.
- Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a disciplined, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation and team-oriented learning.
- Foster respect, empathy, and ethical behaviour among students.
- Ensure student safety and well-being during school hours.
Student Development
- Mentor and guide students regarding academic performance, career aspirations, and emotional well-being.
- Encourage participation in psychology-related seminars, debates, research activities, and competitions.
- Support students in developing analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Curriculum Planning
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, and learning resources.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic reviews, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to continuous curriculum enhancement and innovative teaching practices.
Parent School Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to achieve academic objectives.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Complete all school records and reports within stipulated timelines.
- Support school events, examinations, admissions, and other academic activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology.
- B.Ed. from a recognized university (preferred/mandatory as per school policy).
- Additional certifications in Counselling or Child Psychology will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience in ISC/ICSE, CBSE, or reputed schools.
- Experience teaching ISC Psychology (Grades XI XII) is preferred.
- Proven track record of excellent board examination results.
