Role and Responsibilities Scope of Work • Operation & maintenance of all electrical and utility infrastructure within IDC premises, including substations and utilities • Support HVAC systems and handle major breakdowns Technical Responsibilities • Monitoring, operation, and maintenance of: o Electrical systems (11 KV, 6.6 KV & 0.433 KV) o Emergency Diesel Generator sets (160 KVA to 3000 KVA) o Energetic Rotary UPS systems (DRUPS) o DG battery banks and battery chargers o Control systems for DG and DRUPS o HT & LT panels, PCC, MCC, power distribution and lighting boards o Protective relays and protection systems o Transformers (2.5 MVA to 12.5 MVA) o HT/LT switchgears (11 KV / 6.6 KV VCBs & 0.433 KV ACBs) o Building Management System (BMS) o HVAC equipment: PACs, water-cooled centrifugal/screw chillers, primary & secondary pumps, cooling water pumps, cooling tower fans, motorized valves, exhaust & fresh air fans, AHUs o Safety & monitoring systems: Water Leak Detection, VESDA, Rodent Repellent, FM-200, Chemical Filters o Lifts (freight & passenger)
and EOT cranes Operations & Maintenance • Day-to-day operation and preventive maintenance of utility equipment • Preventive maintenance of electrical panels and associated equipment • Recording temperature and humidity readings in all shifts • Recording electrical parameters (voltage, current, PF, kWh, battery voltages, etc.) for panels, DG sets, and UPS systems • Maintain daily log sheets and operational records • Perform DG load trials (on-load and no-load) • Monitor battery bank health • Support fiber cable laying and termination in coordination with IDC system administrators • Perform power changeovers as required • Update rack-wise power consumption readings • Attend sudden breakdowns during shifts and support emergency restoration • Coordinate with chiller house, DG house, and HT substation teams during power failures or blackouts • Take immediate action in coordination with senior staff during emergencies • Prepare shift handover reports and shift information reports • Prepare work permits for maintenance and operational activities • Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineer-in-Charge Eligibility – Education &
Certification • ITI / NCTVT / Equivalent qualification • Valid PWD Electrical License (Mandatory) Experience • 4–5 years of experience in Facility Operations & Maintenance • Prior experience in data center or critical facility operations preferred
