Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Bhubaneswar. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and screening for ocular diseases, while accurately recording clinical findings. The role involves prescribing and fitting spectacles and contact lenses, providing counseling on lens options, eye health, and preventive care, and guiding patients on the use and care of optical products.

The Optometrist will work closely with retail and medical teams to ensure a high standard of patient experience, support product selection, and maintain adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.



The position also includes participating in promotional eye camps or in-store events, maintaining equipment hygiene, and contributing to continuous improvement in service quality.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from a recognized institution, with valid registration as per applicable regulations.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, diagnosis of common visual conditions, and prescription of spectacles and contact lenses.
- Ability to explain clinical findings clearly, provide patient education on eye health, and deliver a respectful, inclusive experience to diverse patients.
- Experience working in optical retail or eye care settings, with familiarity in lens types, frames, and optical product recommendations.
- Attention to detail in documentation, adherence to clinical protocols, and commitment to safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Comfort working with digital tools and clinic management systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Robust interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, customer service, and management teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bhubaneswar, including weekends or extended hours as needed for retail operations.
- Prior experience in a branded optical or eye care chain is an advantage, but motivated early-career professionals are welcome to apply.
