Role Description The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, vision testing, and basic diagnostic procedures, to determine accurate prescriptions and identify common visual conditions. The role involves advising customers on suitable lenses and frames, explaining prescriptions, and ensuring correct fitting of eyewear. The Optometrist will maintain accurate patient records, follow clinical protocols, and collaborate with store teams to deliver high-quality, ethical eye care services.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata,



requiring consistent in-person interaction with customers and coordination with retail staff.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong clinical optometry skills, including refraction, vision assessment, and basic ocular health screening.
- Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to explain prescriptions, educate customers, and provide a positive in-store experience.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate prescriptions, documentation, and compliance with clinical standards.
- Candidates should possess teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with store managers, sales associates, and other healthcare professionals.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid professional registration or license as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Kolkata, including weekends or adaptable shifts as needed.
- Experience in retail eye care or optical settings is preferred; familiarity with eyewear products and lens technologies is an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning in optometry.
