Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic OPD Manager to oversee the complete day-to-day operations of the Out-Patient Department. The ideal candidate should have strong hospital operations experience with excellent skills in patient flow management, doctor coordination, team handling, and patient service.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the overall OPD operations of the hospital.
- Ensure smooth and efficient patient registration, consultation, billing, and discharge/referral processes.
- Coordinate daily OPD schedules with consultants, doctors, nursing staff, and support teams.
- Monitor patient flow, waiting time, appointment schedules, and consultation turnaround time.
- Ensure proper coordination between OPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, TPA, Insurance, and other departments.
- Handle patient and attendant queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
- Monitor daily OPD footfall, revenue, doctor-wise performance, and other operational metrics.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly OPD MIS reports.
- Ensure proper utilization of OPD infrastructure, counters, consultation rooms, and manpower.
- Supervise OPD coordinators, front office staff, and other assigned personnel.
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, performance, and service quality.
- Ensure proper maintenance of patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards.




- Coordinate with the marketing and business development team to support OPD growth and patient acquisition.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve patient experience.
- Conduct regular rounds and ensure smooth functioning of all OPD areas.
- Coordinate with management and departmental heads for operational improvements and service enhancement.

Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Hospital Management, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in hospital OPD operations.
- Strong understanding of hospital OPD workflow and patient service processes.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be preferred.
- Knowledge of HIMS, hospital billing, TPA/insurance processes, and healthcare operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS, and HIMS.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and responsibilities in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Patient-centric approach with strong interpersonal skills.
