Role Overview

Gate Manufacturing Private Limited is looking for an experienced NPD Manager – Dampers to lead the development and launch of HVAC damper products from concept to production.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in damper manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, product development, and manufacturing processes. The role will involve coordinating with Design, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Suppliers to ensure products are developed and launched within the required quality, cost, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end NPD activities for HVAC dampers.
- Understand customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
- Coordinate design, prototype development, testing, validation, and production launch.
- Review BOM, drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Develop and improve damper designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering for process development and product industrialization.
- Work on sheet metal cutting, punching, bending, forming, welding, machining, and assembly processes.




- Coordinate with suppliers for development of components and materials.
- Support costing, value engineering, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Work with Quality on inspection standards, validation, FMEA, CAPA, and product quality issues.
- Lead cross-functional NPD activities and ensure timely project completion.
- Drive continuous improvement in product design, quality, manufacturability, and cost.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.
- 8–12 years of experience in NPD / Product Development / Manufacturing Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in HVAC Damper manufacturing is preferred.
- Robust experience in Sheet Metal and Fabrication.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings, BOM, GD&T;, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in prototype development and product validation.
