We are looking for an experienced .NET Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications for medium-to-large business environments. The successful candidate will provide technical direction across the application lifecycle, define architecture standards, guide engineering teams, and ensure that solutions are secure, maintainable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives. The role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET Core/modern .NET, microservices, RESTful services, full-stack development, containerization, and enterprise integration, along with strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software systems.
- At least 5+ years of experience providing solution architecture, application architecture, or senior technical leadership.
- Extensive hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core/modern .NET.
- Proven experience architecting solutions for medium-to-large business environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading full-stack engineering teams and delivering complex, business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture of enterprise applications built using the Microsoft technology stack.
- Translate business requirements and non-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture designs.
- Define solution blueprints, reference architectures, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps.
- Architect full-stack applications using C#, .NET Core/modern .NET, JavaScript, React, MS SQL Server, and Sybase.
- Lead the design of microservices, RESTful APIs, service-oriented solutions, and distributed systems.
- Make architecture decisions covering scalability, performance, availability, security, maintainability, observability, and operational readiness.
- Define appropriate service boundaries, communication patterns, data ownership, cohesion, coupling, and integration approaches.
- Establish and govern software design principles, coding standards, reusable components, and engineering best practices.
- Guide teams in applying SOLID principles, design patterns, multithreading, asynchronous processing, and clean-code practices.
- Review solution designs and code to identify architectural risks, technical debt, performance concerns, and security issues.
- Collaborate with developers, quality engineers, operations engineers, support teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical direction throughout development, testing, continuous integration, deployment,
production support, and modernization.
- Define testing and quality strategies, including unit testing, test-driven development, automation, and architecture validation.
- Support CI/CD and release engineering practices using platforms such as TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
- Guide the containerization and orchestration strategy using Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes.
- Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, decision records, deployment views, integration designs, and other solution documentation.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, proofs of concept, and architecture governance forums.
- Mentor senior engineers and coach junior developers while promoting knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.
- Evaluate relevant technologies and recommend solutions based on business value, technical fit, sustainability, and delivery risk.
- Promote responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Required Technical Skills
- Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET Core/modern .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
- Strong full-stack development experience using JavaScript and React.
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server and Sybase.
- In-depth understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
