At Hitachi Energy, we are looking for a dynamic Team Lead - HR Operations to join our Global HR Services organization and lead Employee Lifecycle Management (ELCM) operations across North America and the Middle East & Africa regions. This role is critical in ensuring seamless delivery of HR operational services while driving excellence in employee experience, data quality, compliance, and process efficiency.
As a people leader, you will manage a team of HR Service Specialists and play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, from hire to retire. You will leverage your expertise in Workday and HR operations to ensure accurate processing of employee transactions, effective stakeholder management, and continuous improvement across global processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence HR transformation initiatives, optimize service delivery models, and drive standardization and automation across a global organization. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, managers, employees, and global HR teams to deliver a consistent and exceptional service experience while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
In this role, you will contribute to operational excellence by implementing best practices, enhancing Workday capabilities, and supporting organizational growth through scalable and efficient HR processes. The position operates on a night shift schedule, supporting global stakeholders and enabling round-the-clock service delivery across multiple regions. How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead end-to-end Employee Lifecycle Management (ELCM) operations across NAM and MEA, ensuring accurate and timely HR service delivery.
- Drive service excellence by consistently meeting SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and employee experience objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR Service Specialists, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Partner with HRBPs, Payroll, managers,
and global HR teams to ensure seamless collaboration and resolution of complex HR matters.
- Manage critical escalations and drive root-cause analysis to deliver sustainable solutions and process improvements.
- Optimize HR processes through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, compliance, and audit readiness across employee lifecycle and master data management processes.
- Drive adoption, governance, and optimization of Workday HR modules, workflows, reporting, and analytics.
- Lead transformation projects, digital initiatives, and system enhancements that strengthen HR operational maturity and service delivery.
- Promote a culture of integrity, safety, compliance, and operational excellence aligned with Hitachi Energy values.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7 to 8 years of experience in HR Operations with strong expertise in Employee Lifecycle Management and HR master data management.
- Deep knowledge of Workday HR modules and Hire-to-Retire processes.
- 4 to 5 years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a shared services or HR operations environment.
- Proven track record of driving process improvement, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification is preferred.
